Hi, my name is Jeannine, I am a registered nurse, trained by Mind Medicine Australia as a Psychedelic Assisted Therapist in 2023. I have been working for over 20 years in Mental Health, with a strong interest in trauma and PTSD. Treating patient with Esketamine and providing preparation and integration, individually and in group sessions.
During my career I gained experience in public and private hospitals and up North in Queensland’s communities, where I’ve worked alongside First Nations people. Over the years I’ve witnessed how conventional treatments like medications can ease symptoms of Mental Health disorders, particularly PTSD, psychoses and depression, but often leave the root cause—trauma—unaddressed. For many, this can mean ongoing struggles or being caught in chronic depression or reliant on medications that take away the highs and lows in your life and sometimes causing challenging physical side effects. This realisation inspired me to explore Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy, a powerful approach that confronts trauma at its core and opens the door to deep lasting healing. My insight and knowledge deepened in 2024 at an Ayahuasca retreat in Colombia, guided by Indigenous Pijao Shaman Xochi Bucuru, American Colombian Curandero and physician Dr. Joe Tafur, and Canadian Curandera and Somatic Experiencing practitioner Cvita Mamic. This experience strengthened my commitment for the need of good preparation and integration as a path to lasting recovery.
I offer trauma-informed Preparation and Integration, centered on guided conversations to help you prepare for, plus process psychedelic experiences and learning to deal with Mental Health challenges like post-traumatic stress, anxiety, or depression. These dialogues create a safe, nurturing space for transformative healing and growth. I’m here to support you every step of the way. Contact me today to start your journey to recovery.
